Experience
Andy is a marketer, copywriter, agency founder and bestselling author. He has worked in marketing since 1996. He started out in London's media industry, namely ITV and Pearl & Dean Cinema Advertising, before starting out on his own.
He founded a marketing agency, grew a team and ran campaigns for industry leaders and celebrities. Andy sold his stake in 2024 and now writes and designs for a select number of clients.
One of his main jobs has always been to take a large quantity of information and condense it into copy that the busiest of people can understand. That's essential for you as a business owner - for potential customers to quickly see why you are the go-to person and what they need to do next.
It's a noisy world out there and you need to resonate with the right people at pace... otherwise, they'll get distracted by everyone else. Remember - when people show an interest in you online, they'll soon be getting served your competitors' ads.
Family Business
Andy and Emma Rao have worked together for 20 years. Almost as long as they've been married.
This is a family business with family values. Honesty, integrity and clear comms are paramount. No BS, games or endless "circling back".
They're best suited to helping fellow family businesses. Maybe you're a sole trader. Perhaps you have lots of employees. As long as you are the decision-maker, happy days.
But, if it takes five people to rubber stamp everything, Andy won't be for you. They have seen, time and time again, that part of marketing success comes down to being agile.
Over the years, Andy has helped family businesses across most industries.
When he's not working or with his family, Andy volunteers for the NHS, fundraises for Pancreatic Cancer UK and is a College Governor.
I have worked with Andy for a number of years now. He has helped my salons grow through website and social media performance. I have very little involvement; Andy liaises directly with my team, which is a lot of work off my desk.
